Hygiene at HDC

Your safety is our concern, and because we value your health we follow a very strict protocol with safety measures at Helmi's Dental Care. This protocol is also set by law in the Netherlands and to ensure that we follow it correctly, we asked Mr.Rogier Becker from Dental Union and advisor to the health inspector, to follow our hygiene procedures for one day. We are pleased to say that apart from some minor improvements, our team did very well.

So what measures do we take to ensure your safety?

Our dental team wear masks, gloves and safety glasses during treatment. We desinfect all our instruments in the thermodesinfector and after a cycle of 1,5 hrs we sterlize the instruments in the autoclave. Surgical instruments are kept in sterile bags with the expiration date printed on the bag. We sterilize our turbines after each patient so you can be assured of clean turbines being used especially for you. We prefer to use single use equipment  where possible. Our dental chair is  rinsed before treatment and also at the end of the day. The treatment areas are desinfected between patients and as an extra measure we desinfect the rooms and waiting room with a special spray apparatus for 1,5 hrs which ensures elimination of all bacteria and viruses in the air.

Michelle, our office manager and chief assistant leads the whole team on a regular basis and makes sure that everyone follows the protocol so you can have your smile taken care of in a safe and clean environmet.
